Partnering with AWHONN, Kaiser Permanente & The Principles of CARITAS™ to Reignite the Flame – Healing Nurse Burnout Together, Power Up Nursing is proud to be a contributor to the future of maternal child health nursing.

There are moments in time when the nursing profession does not simply need another training, another webinar, or another checklist.

It needs to be reawakened.

On December 4th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Power Up Nursing will bring its heart and mission to the Bay Area as we partner with AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) and Kaiser Permanente Northern Division to present a powerful four-hour, in-person workshop:

“Reignite the Flame: Healing Nurse Burnout Together”

This transformative gathering will take place at the Center for Healthy Communities2000 Franklin Street, Oakland, California.

Hosted by Dr. Brenda Jones, with special welcome remarks from AWHONN National President Rose Horton, this experience has been designed for maternal-child and women’s health nurses navigating increasing demands, emotional fatigue, and the silent weight of caregiving.

Through the timeless wisdom of the Principles of CARITAS™ (Caring Science) and the leadership of passionate nurses, educators, and change agents, this workshop moves beyond theory — offering real, restorative, and actionable pathways back to vitality, meaning, and professional joy.

Attendees will receive 2 Continuing Education (CE) credits and an unforgettable experience led by an extraordinary lineup of speakers:

✦ Featured Speakers

Dr. Carol Biggs, Lead Like a Nurse: Self-Care is the New Healthcare—a bold and empowering call to reclaim leadership through intentional self-renewal.
