The Embargo Has Been Lifted: The Data Is In, and It Changes the Conversation

For months, we have been eagerly waiting for this moment.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that the embargo on the well-being data from the Power Up Nursing pilot at Jackson Health has officially been lifted.

The findings were formally unveiled during the Nursing Consortium of Florida Conference on June 27 and 28, where they were presented by Dr. Bridgette Johnson, Chief Nurse Scientist at Jackson Health and Nurse Science Advisor for Power Up Nursing, alongside Dr. Janice Adams, Executive Director of the Nursing Action Coalition of Florida and Senior Strategic Advisor to Power Up Nursing.

Now, for the first time, we can begin sharing these remarkable results with healthcare leaders everywhere.

The message from the data is both powerful and encouraging:

Investing even modest resources in the well-being of nurses creates measurable improvements across an entire healthcare system.

The pilot demonstrated meaningful positive impacts not only on the health and well-being of nurses, but also on organizational performance. The data points toward stronger nurse retention, healthier and more engaged caregivers, improved workforce resilience, and better clinical outcomes. When nurses are supported, patients benefit. Teams perform better. Organizations become stronger.

For too long, well-being has often been viewed as a "nice to have." These findings add to the growing body of evidence that it is a strategic investment with measurable returns.

This is more than a successful pilot. It represents an important step toward redefining how healthcare organizations think about workforce well-being. Rather than treating burnout after it occurs, hospitals can proactively build healthier, more resilient teams by making intentional investments in the people who deliver care every day.

We are deeply grateful to Jackson Health for its leadership and willingness to pioneer this work, to Dr. Bridget Johnson for her scientific leadership, and to Dr. Janice Adams for her vision and steadfast advocacy for the nursing profession.

This is only the beginning.

In the coming weeks, we will share more findings, discuss what they mean for healthcare organizations, and explore how hospitals across the country can implement similar evidence-based approaches to improve nurse well-being, strengthen retention, and elevate patient care.

The future of healthcare begins by investing in the people who make healing possible.

And now, the evidence is here to help lead the way.
